High Temperature Silicone Grease

Silicone Grease

Silicone grease is silicone oils thickened with lithium soap. Silicone paste is silicone oil that has inert fillers. This paste and grease is waterproof, and provides great fluidity and performance over a wide temperature range.

Silicone greases are particularly useful when the lubricating capabilities need to be improved to meet post-expecting specifications. For example, at low-pressure levels, PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) or non-reactive methyl phenyl oils are generally combined with lithium soaps creating the efficiency of silicone greases. These silicone greases are designed to provide effective lubrication under both static and dynamic conditions. They also retain their viscosity over a wide temperature range.

Uses of Alstone Silicone Grease

Let's look at the Oil & Gas Industry. Oil & Gas OEMs need protection for their rigs and electronics in order to withstand the extreme conditions of offshore, onshore, and subsea Oil & Gas exploration. High-performance silicone products such as silicone grease, can improve productivity in drilling fluids, muds, and gas separations. This increases equipment productivity and performance, as well as preventing losses and reducing downtime and maintenance costs.

These silicone grease products and additives are not only used in the Oil & Gas industry but also in water and effluent treatments, distillation, desalting and dehydration.

  • General assembly to seal exposed parts (joints or flanges), bonding, antivibration protection and anti-damping.
  • Insulation, coating, potting, and sealing of electronic and electrical components
  • Lubrication of gears, valves, and mechanical devices
  • Excellent heat and cold resistance, consistent and reliable performance in extreme conditions, and long-term stability
  • Small quantities are effective
  • Even when exposed to extreme conditions, it is non-corrosive
  • Water repellency and resistance to moisture
  • For safety and reliability, use electrical insulation

Properties of Silicone Grease

Greases and lubricants are usually made from either petroleum oils or synthetic oils. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages and is usually used for a specific purpose.

Engineers and sourcing managers have to make difficult choices when choosing the right oil-based industrial grease. Silicone grease makes it easier to choose the right oil-based industrial grease. They can withstand temperatures ranging from -60°C to 300°C, under various pressures and loads. Silicone grease is also resistant to water and has secure electrical connections. It contains no harmful or flammable petroleum chemicals, which makes it safe and easy to use.
